Local Instructor Training Session

  1. If a member wishes to invite the Secretariat to host a training session in its country, it is recommended that there are at least 20 teachers attending and that the organizer collect training fees from the attending teachers.

  2. The terms of inviting the Secretariat for the training include:

    • Plan for one training course (3 days) or two training courses (6 days) for each visit.

    • The organizer is responsible for the full expenses on the flight (premium economy class or above), accommodation, meals and transportation of two trainers. The Secretariat will provide flight itinerary as proof of purchase.

    • The training fee: The training fee for each training course (3 days) is $ 6000 if there are fewer than 30 attendees or $ 8000 if there are more than 30 attendees. If there are two training courses, the fee remains the same.

    • The member can request a specific level of training course, or a combination of two courses. The Secretariat will find the most balanced contents. For new members or first-time organizer, we suggest starting from the Level 1 training course.

    • Other related costs that the organizer needs to consider: Venue rental, interpreter, printing materials and other preparations.

    • Contact the Secretariat at least four months prior to the date of the training. If an agreement is reached, the Secretariat will arrange for travelling plans for the trainers.

    • Currently, the Secretariat has three teams of trainers, who all have more than 20 years of experience and are highly renowned in the field.

    • The organizer can plan an extra day of activity outside of the training during the visit. The trainers can offer feedback on the event. For example: Local competition, exam, press conference, Q&A session with parents, business strategy discussion etc. This is part of Secretariat's initiative to promote abacus and mental arithmetic and no additional fee is required.

    • All attendees will receive 1. Certificate of Training and 2. One of Instructor Certification (one of four levels) and Exam Certification (Level 8, 6, 4 or 2). Two pieces of certificates.
